Capital One Lounges are premium airport lounges accessible to cardholders of certain Capital One credit cards. Currently, there are 3 of these lounges located in the United States:
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD): Located just outside the main terminal beyond TSA PreCheck®. Open daily from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW): Located in Terminal D by Gate D22. Open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Denver International Airport (DEN): Located in Concourse A near Gate 34 on the Mezzanine Level. Open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The Capital One lounge Lounge at Dulles International Airport (IAD) is accessible to cardholders of the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Venture X Business Rewards Credit Card. Recently our family had the privilege to check it out before our flight to Europe and here’s what you need to know!

Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:
Location: Located just beyond TSA PreCheck between the East and West security checkpoints on the Ticketing Level.
Hours: Open daily from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
Access:
- Free access: Unlimited for Venture X cardholders, along with complimentary entry for two guests per visit. (This is amazing!) Some airport lounges allow 0 guests.
- Authorized users: Authorized users on the card also receive complimentary access.
- Additional guests: Entry for additional guests costs $45 per person, while children under 2 are free.
Amenities:
Grab-and-go food options: Healthy and sustainable packaged snacks, granola bowls, and fresh juices. We snagged a couple acai bowls and overnight oat bowls for the plane! This was such a lifesaver for us on the plane!
Full-service coffee and pastry bar: Ideal for grabbing a quick breakfast or snack. This coffee bar was impressive, including pastries and fruit options. Our kids even got hot chocolates served in moose cups with whipped cream on top!
In-lounge dining: Plated small bites featuring healthy, regionally-inspired cuisine. We loved the chips and guac and the banh mi shrimp sandwiches! Seriously the food quality was well beyond expectations.
Full-service bar: Offering a variety of drinks, including alcoholic beverages.
Seating: A variety of seating options suitable for working, relaxing, or socializing. It was crowded when we were there, but crowds usually ebb and flow due to the nature of flights coming and going.
Workspaces: Dedicated areas with comfortable seating and power outlets and a desk for working.
Wi-Fi: High-speed Wi-Fi access for staying connected. Of course right!? It is 2024 do we even need to write this?
Luggage lockers: Secure storage for your luggage while you explore the airport.
Wellness room: A private space for nursing mothers or anyone needing a moment of rest and relaxation.
Family-friendly space: A dedicated area with amenities for families traveling with young children. Some open space and comfortable seating to accommodate your pack.
This is the “To Go” section. It was a total game changer. The kids and us had a meal after we landed!
Overall, the Capital One Venture X Lounge at Dulles Airport offers a comfortable and convenient space for cardholders to relax, work, or grab a bite before their flight. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped inside, well fed and thoroughly enjoyed kicking our feet up before heading to our overnight transatlantic flight! I highly recommend a drop in if you are flying through any of the above mentioned airports! So pull out your Capital One Venture X card and enjoy!
